Alex Ramirez is an award-winning Mexican-American filmmaker, media artist, playwright, and educator. His work examines the nature of memory, Chicano subculture, and obsolete media formats. His films have screened at the Mill Valley FF, on Film Shortage, and at the South Texas International FF, taking home Best Texas Short. He has been featured in Texas Monthly, Texas Public Radio, KLRN The Beat, and the San Antonio Express-News. He teaches media/film as the current Media Arts Director of SAY Sí.
